FREE LANCE GRAPHIC AND WEB DESIGNER, Columbus, Ohio
Designer (March 2008 to Present
- Developed a portfolio web site for Michelle Kearns, to further her career as a trans media journalist.
- Assisted in content organization, designed layout, built a user-friendly navigation system, and implemented graphic skills to visually represent Michelle’s mix of Classic Reporting and Multimedia Journalism.
- Contracted by Catalyst-Ohio to make a graphical illustration for their magazine’s fall issue, and to design a splash page for their web site.
THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY’S DIGITAL UNION, Columbus, Ohio
Multimedia Lab Proctor (March 2007 to Present)
- Responsible for the assistance of students, faculty, and staff in their multimedia endeavors including video capture, video edits, web design, digital photo edits, audio capture, audio edits, and graphic manipulation.
- Assist with various multimedia workshops, aiding students through the software.
- Promote a functional working environment by scheduling reservations, inventorying equipment, marinating printers, setting up for workshops, operating scanners, and answering call-in technical support questions.
THE COLUMBUS SPORTS NEWS NETWORK, Columbus, Ohio
Intern (December 2007 to April 2008)
- Assist in taking/ editing video footage, making graphics for over the shoulder shots/ score information, running prompter, and running studio camera to advance the crew towards finished news productions.
